My Favourite Summer Products

I feel like through different seasons we use different products. We base our daily makeup around what the weather is like. I know I definitely had a few rediscovered goodies and new ones that I loved wearing throughout Summer. Let's get straight into it.

Primers

1. Australis - Cya Later Pores Primer

This one was such a good find! I found it in Target's $1 bucket near the counters and I was like, well it's $1, might as well give it a go! Not only was it a great value for money product, it was also amazing and a very good dupe for Benefit's Pore-fessional primer. That's a win-win for me.

Not so much a primer as a highlighting product, but I used it under my foundation so.. technically for me it's a primer.

2. Cover FX - Custom Enhancing Drops in Moonlight

Such a beautiful product and a little goes a looooong way! So smooth to apply and looks flawless under foundation. This one is so good for giving a bronzed summer glow all over. I like to use it on my shoulders and decolletage and on the high points of the cheek bones. But my favourite way is to mix it with my foundation and apply it.

Foundation

3. MAC - Studio Fix Fluid

This will forever be my favourite foundation I think. It's so easy to adapt to different skin types and great to create a variety of finishes. I can make it more sheer, more opaque. It can work great for dry and oil skin, though more beneficial for oily skin but with the right primers it can work on just about any skin type.

Powders

4. Laura Mercier - Loose Transulcent Powder

I am on the hunt for a good dupe as they are no longer available in Australia to purchase :'(. I have no idea why, because it was such a great product. Great to dust all over or bake with and really keeps foundation in tact for long periods of time.

Bronzers

5. Too Faced - Flushed in Naked

Though I have dropped it and it has shattered since this post, it was still a great product to use. The bronzer is just the perfect balance of shimmer and pigment and it doesn't come off muddy on skin tones, so it's a more universal product. Again, really gives a nice bronzed summer glow to the skin.

Highlighter

6. Ofra - Feelin' Myself

Two words. AHHH - MAZING. So pigemented, great colours, perfect for all skin tones and really gives a nice POP to your makeup look. Takes it from drab to fab with a swish of a brush.

Eyeshadow Pallette

7. bPerfect - Stacey Marie Carnival Palette

The perfect summer eyeshadow colours, that just make you feel happy and warm inside. Great pigment, easy to blend, minimal fall out - what more could you want? Very user-friendly because there are some basic shadows in there incase you get intimidated by vibrant shadows, but it really is easy to blend!

8. Australis - GRL BOSS Illuminating Finishing Spritz

Use with caution! This has a lot of shimmer, so use 30cm away from the face. Unless I got a dud bottle that just sprays shimmer! Anyway, beautiful product that makes you feel sun kissed from every angle! I still use a normal finishing spray underneath just to set the face. This is more of an all over highlight for me.
