Why it’s Okay to Embrace Un-natural Beauty

We’ve all heard it before “we should be happy in our own skin” or “I don’t understand why she wears so much makeup she shouldn't wear makeup, she would look better without it” Well as true as it may be, to embrace our natural beauty - it is more than okay to embrace un-natural beauty too!

It is more and more popular for people wanting to change their looks, things like lip & cheek fillers, eyelash extensions, feathered or tattooed eyebrows, full face of makeup, bleached or dyed hair, nose jobs and the list goes on! Fair enough if some of those things aren't for you. I'm sure we do at least 1 of those items on a daily basis, so we're not all exactly innocent - lol!

I'm sure majority of us are at the stage in our lives were we don't do things because someone else has done it, we do it because we genuinely enjoy how it looks. We've seen it on someone that is an influencer or celebrity and if you share the same or similar style then of course you will want to buy it.

Okay, here's a mini test - in your minds - put your hand up if you have worn something that looks drab on you and automatically feel really disappointed and down. I'm sure 100% of you put your hands up. So if that's the case, wouldn't you want to wear something that makes you feel good and happy? Makes total sense right? It's the same with makeup and cosmetic injectables. If you look good you will feel good!

One of my first blog posts was about inner beauty. I talked about how we should focus on our character and personality and doing things that make us happy. Imagine you put that together with looking good, you would feel absolutely amazing - you wouldn't even be able to put it into words. So lets focus on the 'un-natural' beauty side of things.

Like I mentioned before, one of the things we can do is dress to feel better. If you had clothes that made you feel amazing every single day you would feel happy every single day (I know there are things out there that can dampen the mood, things at works, traffic etc. But those are temporary events that you can control your emotions over - in short, things that you can't control should not have control over you). If you don't have anything that makes you feel good when you wear it, what are you reading this for? Hit the shops! Simple fix to lift your mood!

Makeup is obviously a passion of mine, I am comfortable without it but I also feel like a BOSS when I have it on! Why? Because I feel like my natural features have been enhanced without losing my look, my skin looks flawless, my eyes look bigger, my lashes are longer - I just feel amazing!

There is another 'method' that is frowned upon by majority but for those that do do it they feel amazing when they do it. What I'm talking about and I'm sure you have grasped the concept of what I am talking about is plastic surgery and cosmetic injectables. For some people it's doesn't make sense to alter yourself. But for some people they feel the need to alter parts of them self because they will look good which in turn means they will FEEL good! Some will argue that they should love themselves before, and it is harder for some people than you might think. Some people need that extra boost to help them.

At the end of the day, if we take away all the things that help us look good we are left with a canvas that is us - and we will either love that person, or we will want to improve on certain things.

So I hope this blog has helped you gain perspective On this aspect of beauty that some people take so seriously and other people just can’t understand. It’s more than just looking pretty or handsome, it’s about feeling it too!
