Lashes, lashes, lashes!

Of course I had to get a blog done about lashes! It's basically been the only thing I have been posting about for the last month or so!

I love them, I love how they make you feel and I love how they can change your look up.

As you may already know, there are different types of lashes products on offer. You have:

- Strip/Individual lashes

- Eyelash Extensions

- Eyelash Lifting & Tinting

- Semi-Permanent Mascara

Not all of them will suit what you are after, so here is a bit of info on them to help you find the right one for you! I'm guessing that's why you clicked on this blog ;)

Strip or Individual lashes

These are perfect for short-term wear and can be used to emphasise and glam up your makeup look! There super easy to pop on and off and the only thing you will need are strip lashes purchased from your fave lash shop (There are a few amazing ones from Ardel, Glamcare, Tatti Lashes, Huda Beauty & so much more) and eyelash strip adhesive glue - I would not recommend using the ones in the eyelash packages as they are a little bit weaker, my favourite glue is DUO Lash glue, very inexpensive and lasts a while!

This can be done DIY or by a MUA or purchased on applied at a makeup outlet.

Eyelash Extensions

A personal fave for me! Eyelash extensions are long-term wear, and are done by professional eyelash technicians. Please DO NOT attempt to do this yourself, there are too many risks involved, including irritation, poor placement of extensions, damage to your lashes and fumes from the glue would make it very difficult to do anyway. It is highly recommended to not do them!

If applied correctly by the lash technician you will have amazing eyelashes that can last up to 6 weeks, the better you look after them the longer they last. Which, I mean the amount of money you spend on them, you would surely look after them!

There are various types of eyelash extensions you can ask for, but not all of them will suit your eyes/lashes. You can have a classic look or volume lashes which go from as little as 2 fans to 1 lash or 10 fans to 1 lash!

Eyelash Lifting & Tinting

This is another that I recommend you seek a professional for as it uses strong chemicals that could irritate your eyes. This treatment involves only your natural lashes instead of what the last two involve. This is also a long-term treatment and could last up to 6-8 weeks. This treatment curls and dyes your natural lash, which is more of a subtle approach. The use of mascara will enhance the curl from the treatment, but if your natural lashes are long enough then you might not need mascara at all!

Semi-Permanent Macara

This treatment has been around for a while though not as popular as the other treatments. Similar to lash tinting, it involves putting a mixture on your natural lashes that is meant to mimic mascara on your natural lashes.

Again, similar to semi-permanent mascara lasts up to 6-8 weeks, depending on your lash cycle.

Okay, so now you know the basics of these lash treatments, did I make it harder for you to decide which one you should go for?

If your fidgety, and often scratch at your eye or eyelashes - I would recommend and eyelash lift & tint, if you had extensions or SPM then you could accidentally pull out your own lashes and cause bald spots.

If you want a low maintenance look and can't be bothered with a full face of makeup everyday - Eyelash extensions, eyelash lift & tint or SPM could be the way for you, depending how full on you like them!

If you don't mind putting a full face of makeup on but don't want in your face lashes - then an eyelash lift & tint or SPM would work for you, as they are more subtle than eyelash extensions.

If you don't wear a lot of makeup, but want to look pretty for a night out - I would say you would suit to wear strip or individual lashes as you can take them off and be back to normal!

Did you know?!

You can actually wear some of the treatments together?

In fact, some professionals may suggest you to get an eyelash lift to go in hand with eyelash extensions if you are wanting a more curled or glamourous look. Or if you have very fair hair then a lash tint could help the extensions look a little bit more unnoticeable or subtle.

Eyelash extensions don't damage your natural lashes unless they are done incorrectly, so make sure you do your research before going to a lash technician!

Not every strip or individual will fit your lash line? Some style you may need to cut to fit perfectly! PRO TIP: Always cut the fake eyelashes from the outside as they tend to taper out at the ends, if you cut from the inside of the eyelashes then when applied you will have a big difference in lengths that will look unnatural.

I hope this has helped you in some way! Whether you just wanted more information, or you wanted to know which one was the right one for you!

If you have any questions or comments, as always you know where to go!
